Reading a Frequency Map the Right Way

What the colors on a lottery heat chart tell you about past draws, and the one thing they can never tell you.

A frequency map, sometimes called a heat chart, shades numbers by how often they've appeared. It's a useful picture of history as long as you read it correctly.

What the colors show

Darker or warmer cells were drawn more often in the period covered. Lighter cells came up less often. That's all the map is saying.

Why the time window matters

A 50-draw map and a 500-draw map of the same game can look very different. Short windows exaggerate streaks; longer windows even things out.

What it can never tell you

A frequency map can't predict the next draw. Each official draw is independent, so a dark cell isn't "hot" going forward and a light cell isn't "due."

Enjoy the patterns as history. Just don't read them as a forecast.
